Swampscott is proud to merge our Age-Friendly and Dementia-Friendly initiatives, believing that all efforts are better together. Striving to become more age-friendly while being compassionate to our neighbors living with dementia will make us all more sensitive and caring. Some of the many efforts are included here. We are also training our town staff and businesses to become age and dementia-friendly.

What is a Memory Cafe?
A memory cafe is a gathering of individuals with memory loss along with their caregivers, or friends and family in a safe, supportive and engaging environment. Cafe’s typically include structured activities, such as art, music, crafts or creative writing.

Swampscott Senior Center welcomes you to Memory Cafe on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 1-2:00 pm. Call (781) 596-8866 to make a reservation. Free.
