Transportation Provided by Swampscott Senior Center
The Swampscott Senior Center’s Transportation Program supports our members’ independence, active aging and the ability to participate in social activities. The Center operates low-cost, round-trip transportation utilizing three lift-accessible multi-passenger vans. Services include rides to local grocery stores and shopping plazas, the Swampscott Library and Town Hall, as well as transportation to local, North Shore medical appointments.
Additionally, the Center organizes trips and outings to popular destinations and restaurants and provides transportation to and from the Center for special events. All rides are curbside to curbside. Members who need extra assistance with mobility in and out of their homes and to and from their destinations are welcome to have an aide, friend or attendant accompany them. Please specify when booking if this is the case.
Transportation is available to Swampscott residents only ages 55 and older. It is also available to any disabled Swampscott resident within the designated hours of operation.
