Think Globally, Act Locally
Our current STAT (Short Term Action Team) initiative with the Swampscott Health Department is focused on minimizing our negative environmental impact. The Climate Change Committee plans to bring educational experiences and resources to the Center on this important topic along with suggestions of easy things you can do in your everyday life to make positive change. We plan to explore ways to increase personal and community composting and hope to develop a composting program at the Center. Stay tuned for more information that will be posted around the Center and upcoming learning opportunities. Useful links and resources will be posted on this page as well as contact information for the organizers of this program. We will be meeting weekly on Wednesdays from 2-3 pm at the Swampscott Senior Center.
