SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone)

SHINE Is a free program for Health Insurance Information, Counseling & Assistance for People with Medicare.  A SHINE Counselor can help you compare the costs and benefits of Medicare and other health insurance options and help you enroll in a health insurance program.  A SHINE counselor can help people with limited resources enroll in programs that help pay health insurance costs.

A SHINE Counselor is trained and certified by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs.  Our counselor is available on Wednesdays, from 10:00AM – 2:00PM for counseling appointments.  Extended hours will be available during Open Enrollment, October 15 – December 7th each year.  You can schedule an appointment by calling the Swampscott Senior Center at 781-596-8866.
